Ne Obliviscaris is one of the best bands at the intersection of progressive and extreme metal. The album starts as trivial black metal but gradually becomes more and more captivating, with masterful electric violin parts and excellent clean vocals. The album also features acoustic and 'wedge' moments composed quite decently. Overall, a great album that could use more memorable electric guitar riffs.
